DISCOVER
We had a clear vision for this piece: creating the perfect versatile cardigan that can be worn in different ways and fit different women.
When showing our first drafts and designs, Nina, the house pattern maker, understood what we were looking for straight away and started working her magic. We re-worked the garment for several months and, a few prototypes later, the final version of Garment 03 was born!
All the work behind this wrap cardigan is reflected on it’s perfect ability to fit different women thanks to the side straps. The attention to detail can be found on different features that have been selected with care: a double-stitch, a hand-knitted english rib, a trim finishing around the cuffs and some volume on the sleeves to increase comfort in movement (a little Les Izmoor signature).
This garment has been designed with versatility in mind. You can wear it in so many different ways!
- As an open cardigan: with something underneath
- Wrapped around your waist for a v-neckline crossover effect: here you can attach it looser or tighter and even play with the shoulders
- Back to front: the front is then closed and the crossover is on the the other side so you get a semi-naked back style.
On our quest to find the best possible material, we considered different factors like quality, aesthetics and sustainability of the fibers.
For Garment 03, we selected a yarn that mixes Merino wool with cashmere. We fell in love with its soft, warm and breathable properties. That's why we were so pleased to learn that it came from Linsieme Filati, a company that verifies through constant analysis the compliance protocols required for animal welfare.
Both wool and cashmere are natural fibers. They are biodegradable, excellent thermo-regulators and are not likely to peel which makes their garments quality pieces that you can keep for generations to come. This is particularly true for Merino as it is milder than regular wool, more adaptable and lighter compared to the heat it generates.
As a next-to-skin layer, Merino wool and cashmere are hard to beat!
In terms of colour, we went for two timeless tones.
Midnight blue is darker than navy and is generally considered to be the deepest shade of blue - one so dark that it might be mistaken for black.
Panna (“cream” in Italian) is warmer than white and softer than beige. With its milky nuances, this tone represents purity and tenderness.
Like all our pieces, this item is a limited edition.
We produce one drop at a time and don't re-stock.
We have now finished the production of pre-orders and released the extra pieces we have created. Keep in mind that these extra pieces are very limited.
WHY ARE WE ENCOURANGING ON-DEMAND PRODUCTION?
Because we want to reduce waste, create only the necessary and develop a more mindful system. Because we believe that there is beauty in waiting for a piece that is being made especially for you. And finally, because we think that you deserve a quality responsible piece at a fair price. With pre-orders we are able to reduce our margins and therefore offer a 40% discount from the in-stock price.
